Elmo, most of them are YOUNG MALES,,,, Most of them get heavily involved in Very Violent Video games, play them online for hours and hours, with other people nationwide, they are also associated with heavy Violent Music with the games,,, I read where this guy was associated with a Very Violent Game with killings, Guns.

If you watch kids when they get addicted to these game their attitudes do start changing after a While. They have Violent outburst and become disruptive and abusive. They stay in teir rooms isolated playing these games and are consumed by them.

Some at some point they Snap and act like they are living it in real life. No, not all, but it Only takes ONE to do it and then we see the results.

Elmo, I wish you would PM me with your opinion. I understand if you don't want to. But I'm pretty convinced the answer lies in dealing specifically with gender in these cases.

perhaps Umpire, but a mentally ill person is just that ... ill and unstable. they are not generally granted the same "rights" as others totally due to their own diminished capacity.

once you sift thru the hype, accusations, nuttery, and blame .... this thread actually does show that people are acknowledging there is a problem that should be addressed. if it is mental illness combined with medications ... maybe that is the starting point.

if a doctor feels it is necessary to place someone on these medications, isn't it possible to have something like the "no fly list"? perhaps the person isn't arrested ... but authorities would know about them, gun dealers would know about them, anyone with a need to know. if someone is mentally ill and seeking help, that's good. but until they are mentally healthy again, let's not give them firearms.

As for gun laws...how in the world would I be expected to know all the laws concerning guns in all 50 states? And since I'm not calling for stricter gun control laws, what exactly is your point?

I would absolutely love for you to outline all the laws in all 50 states, however. It would be a true learning experience for me.
