What about, before gun purchases can be made and individual must be screened by a trained professional - no less than 3-1hour visits. It's not much but hey if it stops one shooting isn't it worth it. The rights of one can not impeded the rights of many.

I think the only logical answer is to back off these gun free areas. People have to be able to defend themselves. It is scary having a child at college knowing their best method of protection is pepper spray. I would feel far more comfortable having my child armed. People need to be educated on gun safety and armed. Think about, these freaks are going into places that they know civilians are unarmed, shooting fish in a barrel.

I am mystified that anyone would think I am calling for the banning of guns by pointing out men are mass murderers, and asking why and how we would deal with it.

Of course, there seems to be only one logical way to eradicate gun violence...

If we go back to committing the mentally insane once they are identified instead of medicating them and sending them back into the general population, then it just might help. Do we honestly know what these medications are doing to our children? They are taking kids that would have been normal and creating little crazy brats that can't deal with reality.
