I read that Chendo, also that he said something to a Dr. About wanting to take a deer rifle up to the tower and kill people PRIOR to actually doing it.
The Orlando shooter had threatened to kill people prior to actually doing it and it was ignored by his employers.
Maya Angelou has a quote about believing someone when they tell you who they are. Maybe that needs to start happening more often.
I understand about freedom of speech needing to be protected, but hate speech should not be protected. Making threats to kill people should not be protected, for people to later say, Just kidding.

I'm wondering why more hasn't been said about the loss the Latino community has suffered and do they suspect they were targeted, as well, being it was Latino night at the club.

In his diary, Whitman asked that his brain be autopsied. He was certain something was going on up there. Postmortem showed a tumor the size of a pecan. Some experts say either the chemicals secreted from, or pressure exerted by, could have played a part in his erratic behavior in the months leading up to the shootings.

| The GOPee in the Senate blocked a bill that denied people on watch lists from buying firearms. The NRA-backed members of congress allowed him to purchase these firearms by failing this bill. |
A list that any American can get put on with out ever committing a crime. Unless one is convicted they shouldn't loose their rights over suspicion by a unelected bureaucrats. |
Yet the right wing nuts want to deport anyone that has a slight tint of brown even if no crime was committed.
Terrorist watch lists stop people from flying, buying certain material, why not a weapon? At least extend the process out until they have been cleared.

Interesting thought: Lots of folk who knew Omar are describing him using all the usual post crisis labels: unstable, unhinged, etc.
I wonder what they thought of him last week.

sPEAK FOR YOURSELF THERE, fINS, aN OPEN DISCUSSION OF [oops, the Caps Lock bulb is quite dim on this platform} gun control legislation would be more than welcome! That way we can see just who it is that think giving up any further in the fight for our right to bear arms is a path we should follow. Our own dim bulb has offered up many times [but hey. who's counting] truisms without substantiation.
It is true that most of the guns used in the ongoing inner city slaughter houses are purchased outside of their jurisdictions. They do have some of the most restrictive, oppressive and infringing state and local gun laws in the country. These laws have not stopped the use of guns in the wanton killing taking place there every day.
It is true that in states with more liberal and less restrictive laws, guns are easier to purchase. Without accurate reference to this point we must ask for specifics. A chart or graph showing original POS would be nice.
I'm proud to be subdivided and segregated with the good folks in Kentucky and Mississippi! I have it on good authority there are other states barely containing their offence at being overlooked, oppressed and omitted from this assemblage.

This is going to get even uglier in the future. Meaning that people regardless of religion, sexuality, race, creed, color, etc. are going to be targets. I don't know the cure but something has to change. People are slaughtered on a daily basis worldwide. We doesn't seem overly concerned until it hits home. I wish I could bring peace to everyone but this just can't happen. People have been killing in the name of God, LOVE, ETC for hundreds of years and this will not stop now. Darn people we need to stand united and try like the dickens to get along!

Yet Stumpy, the violence happens in Chicago, not in NC, Kentucky, or Mississippi. Got any clue why that is?
Tell you what, gimp, get your president to use the term "Muslim extremist", and then I'll get my side to give open discussion to firearm legislation.

YOU CLOWNS HAVE BEEN TOLD A HUNDRED TIMES THAT THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF GUNS SEIZED IN CHICAGO WERE PURCHASED FROM OUTSIDE OF ILLINOIS. PLACES LIKE KENTUCKY, NORTH CAROLINA AND MISSISSIPPI,
JUST WHY CAN'T YOU NUTCASES GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD?

Kent State was the National Guard firing upon student demonstrators. Not one the NG's finest hours. The mail order for guns was stopped after the Kennedy assassination. Ever since we have had spiraling restrictions but increasing violence. I am sure there are many reasons for this problem as places like Chicago suffer daily from gun violence yet have some of the most restrictive laws. You cannot legislate away social ills. It takes leadership and not the "my way or the highway" type.
