Why was McHale more effective than Springsteen?
Why, because glitter said so! That'll be the best answer one gets.
I wish more folks follow the example of Springsteen, Adams in Mississippi, Schwartz, etc. It works. Want an example? Nags Head.
But either way, this law won't be around long.

Maybe read my question.
Again, I asked for documented complaints, by transgenders, in Charlotte, North Carolina, who were prohibited or restricted from using the BATHROOM of their choice.
Not infringements in the workplace, college campus, or the Krispy Kreme.

We do not live in a democracy, please try again.
As a matter of fact, our government is designed to protect minorities. I don't know how much of that was intended, but we have seen time and time again that minorities prevail over popular belief.

Majority rules.I thought we lived in a democracy. How can a few dictate the the lives of the many.Check the numbers and I believe you will find the majority agrees with McCrory..1.2 millon voters said one man one woman but some quack judge in Asheville overturned that vote.

The reality is quite the opposite transgender people are often victims of harassment. One such incident occurred last spring in Charlotte, when a transgender student was harassed and humiliated by Central Piedmont Community College security and then escorted off campus.
This is on the first page of hangs link.

Back to Bruce Springstein. I still say that him canceling his concert didn't do a thing to hurt the politicians. But this guy gets it:
Joel McHale donates proceeds from North Carolina show to Durham LGBT Center
http://www.ew.com/article/2...gbt-center
He still puts on the show, and his fans are happy. But he donates the money to the LGBT Center, to help them fight against discriminatory laws.
THAT accomplishes something, without hurting people that had nothing to do with the law.

Hangs, neither of the links provided information regarding transgender bathroom infrigements in Charlotte, North Carolina. I don't think either referenced bathrooms.

Yes I was sitting in stall between two republicans last week. They were assuring each other that the Moon Walk was faked, Bin Laden isn't really dead, and Liberals have bankrupted the Nation. This was the most disgusting thing I've ever encountered in a public restroom. I thought they were going to wipe each before I left.

FYI,
An excerpt from a February 02, 2016 article in The Charlotte Observer, notice the bold print, I wonder why all the major company's, sporting events, and famous singers have not spoke put and condemned the people of Houston? Maybe they just like picking on poor Ole NC.
Q: Is it needed?
A: Members of the LGBT community said a common problem is that a vendor will agree to provide them a service, and then back out when the business learns the event is a gay or transgender event.
Some opponents say they object to h*mosexuality on religious grounds, and that the ordinance would codify something they are opposed to.
The bathroom issue has been described as a safety issue on both sides.
People born as male but who identify as or express themselves as female are harassed and can be assaulted in men's bathrooms.
On the other side, opponents of the expanded ordinance say they worry about their own safety in women's restrooms, specifically the well-being of their children. They worry a pedophile would use the ordinance as cover to enter women's bathrooms.
LGBT ordinances are common in the nation's largest cities.
But Charlotte isn't alone in its being a divisive issue. Houston approved LGBT protections, but voters overturned the ordinance in November after an 18-month fight.
