The NBA formally addressed the North Carolina statute in a statement released on Thursday:

"The NBA is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for all who attend our games and events. We are deeply concerned that this discriminatory law runs counter to our guiding principles of equality and mutual respect and do not yet know what impact it will have on our ability to successfully host the 2017 All-Star Game in Charlotte."

From the link by Hangs.

Oh, my. Good night, Velcro Shoes.

There have been definite calls to move the game, Velcro Shoes. Google Charles Barkely. He's an African-American, so I know you won't want to listen to him, but try and soldier through.

You realize this was brought up by folks before the hoax, right?

All because you hate a certain segment of people.

Bigots love discrimination.

Shoulda, don't get all touchy and mad because you believed a fake website about the NBA, lol. The NBA didn't make a threat like that so why would you be using it as a talking point?

Go ahead, Troll. Good luck, by the way.

Actually, Velcro Shoes, the NBA hasn't made a definitive decision to pull the game yet.

But you keep grasping at straws. And ignore the damage already done to our state because you hate the LGBT community.

Maybe the majority should start boycotting the companies, entertainers, sports figures, etc. that don't come.

It's not a waste if you are a fan.

It doesn't touch their little world so they don't care or care to try and understand the impact.

God, you're seriously stupid, aren't you? You havent heard about PayPal not coming to Charlotte? You think this starts and stops with Springsteen? You definitely didn't read about Nags Head.

All because you favor discrimination.

You wear Velcro shoes, don't you?

Shoulda, honey....I think it's been said that the NBA threat was actually fake. They didn't do that, right? Can you find me a working link now?

Oh. My bad. I thought we were talking about a Bruce Springsteen concert. I doubt very seriously he will bring in that much.

Look what's happening to our tourism already (good for Nags Head, by the way):

http://wavy.com/2016/04/07/...room-bill/

Because this state decided to discriminate.

That's in Nags Head...don't tell certain people, who will tell you this law only affects Charlotte.

The NBA All-Star game brings $90 million to the city that holds it. But these twits don't understand how missing out on $90 million hurts the state's economy?

I mean...seriously?

shouldawouldacoulda

Posted 10:43 am, 04/11/2016

Are you seriously saying you don't understand how entertainers, sporting events, companies, etc. NOT coming to North Carolina hurts the state economy?

Jesus Christ...are you ****ing serious?

Good Lord. How many times are we going to have to explain the economic cost of boycotting this state for concerts, sporting events, etc.?

Right. You mean all those NC fans that were going to waste their money giving money to an old guy who didn't care enough about them to put his petty "indignation" aside and come to NC and take their money and attempt to entertain them by singing 30+ year old songs only 1/3 as good as he did 30 years ago? Yea. Economically it's a win for those fans.

Let's turn this into, at least partially, a Boss appreciation thread.

It means the people that would have been working the concession stands will not be, the security guards won't have anyone to check, the restaurants the concert goers would have eaten won't need extra staff, the list goes on and on. But hey as long as it doesn't touch you specially then it doesn't matter.
