Anti numbers are wrong as usual. Under Joe Biden's leadership there are More than 770,000 people were counted as homeless in federally required tallies taken across the country during a single night in January 2024, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development said in its new report
Pay better attention, hon. I said families.
According to the US Dept of Housing and Urban Development, page 38, in 2023 there were 17,385 families with children experiencing unsheltered homelessness. Quite a bit lower than the number given by endhomelessness.org that I had originally quoted.
You can see that it was the highest in 2007 at 56,230, and went down every year after that.
I'm looking at unsheltered families with children because these are the ones that the church could realistically give a house and stop their homelessness. It doesn't make sense to buy every man, woman, and child a house, does it?
Anti, are you contributing 10% of your massive Bud Lite profits to a church? If you are not they probably not ask for your money management skills
I donate to local charities, where the money does more than line someone's pockets...
Dog Butt, Antichrist, and several others on here all know how to run church business, problem is: they run from church instead of running to church
You've accidentally answered the problem... church business.
If they were following Jesus' teachings then it wouldn't be a business, would it? Jesus taught from fields, not expensive buildings. Jesus said that His followers shouldn't have possessions, but should give everything to the poor and rely on the kindness of the congregation for food and clothes.
So why exactly do they need $74.5 billion a year, while the poor are suffering and dying?
Let's put it another way... there are 350,000 to 400,000 churches in the US...
That comes to an average of $186,250 for each church.
Yelp says that there are 240 churches in Wilkes...
So that's $44,700,000 a year going in to the local churches... a little more than the entire $41,410,476 county budget.
What do you think that we get in return for that much money?
