There is nothing so far to say that it couldn't be suicide. And one article last week made mention of depression. Then another suggested date rape may have happened. So, I think it is possible

Ok, I thought it was the intersection on Poplar Grove where the Winn Dixie used to be. I don't know Appalachian heights that well.

I believe that is the woods on the left side of popular grove across from Appalachian Heights Dr.

No there's not

I believe there's a creek off that road and the students would hang out there in the summer.

I forgot about the ones they tore down. Those were mostly freshman dorms.

After the shot cuts away from the reporter to the shot with the fire trucks and police vehicles in a roped off area, isn't that roped off area at the intersection in the curve where the old win Dixie used to be?

Fins so many things have change since I worked there that I don't know what dorms are what any more. It has change a lot with dorms being torn down and new dorm being built.

Is it looking like there's a serial assaulter on the loose?

Poplar Grove is close to ASU.This is so sad to hear I was hoping she was alive.I can imagine if that was my daughter.Please everyone Pray for this family.

Fins if you watch the video in the OP you can see a white sign down the road behind the reporter that is the road that connects popular grove with Bodenheimer Dr. The road directly behind the reporter that the car is pulling out of is the lower entrance to Appalachian heights and the upper entrance to Appalachian Heights comes out on Bodenheimer Dr. Just across Bodenheimer is the road that leads down to a parking lot in the woods and directly above the tennis courts where the other girl reported being assaulted. Joe, do you have a source that can answer if those dorms on Poplar Grove are freshman dorms? I thought from years ago that they were for grad students or married couples or something. I thought all the freshman dorms were kept closer to the main campus area.

After watching the video, I recognize the area, and that's a strange area for a student to end up in. It would sort of support the suicide theory.

Fins I heard another girl reported being assaulted in the woods above the stadium and I recognized the area where the reporter said this girl was found. These two areas are very close together and one could walk from one to the other in 5 or 10 minutes

Joe, have you heard more specifically where she was found on Poplar Grove?

You know, there were some report of a rape involving Smith. No one would confirm or deny if it was the one that was reported, or if it was a different one

You know the area where she was found is only a 5 or 10 minute walk from where another student reported being sexual assaulted a week or so ago.
