You guys remember when capitalism meant businesses competed to have the lowest prices and make an honest profit? Its not that way anymore, now it means they compete to see who can charge the most without a backlash from consumers. How high can they push it and get away with it.

Problem is, as with all low cost methods, it never remains low cost when it reaches the consumer. Like so many things, the margin between the low production cost, and the high price to the consumer only adds to the coffers of the very wealthy.

Kenc, you asked the question I just supplied one answer. I believe we have already negatively impacted our water resources without using fracking, what are you dong to put a stop to those problems?

You and the rest of the population will have to convince the legislature or Congress that access to plentiful carbon based energy such as natural gas and oil is a bad thing for the State and Country. As long as our economy is carbon energy based it won't be stopped.
The benefit is a relative low cost method to recover natural gas from beneath the serf-ace of the earth, Low cost fuel allows for the generation of lower cost electricity which in turns reduces the cost to produce products which we purchase.
The companies who have conducted the research and expended the funds to develop the witches brew which releases the natural gas from the rock it is bound with have convinced the legislature that this trade secret needs to be protected. The NC General Assembly has thus passed a law protecting these business secrets.

We have big fat-headed fat-cat rich men in Raleigh who will tell us what is best for us, I mean what is most lucrative for them. We can not stand in the way of their investments and kickbacks. Heaven help us all...🎶the stars at night are big and bright..🎶

How do we Stop it before our aquifiers are polluted, and we no longer have any water safe to drink ? Can anyone tell me how fracking will benefit us ?
Why is it against the law in NC for anyone to reveal the chemicals used in fracking ?
