The first time I ever Tried Fracking, I knew I was gonna like it

So over $42 billion was spent on fracking in the US during 2012 to get $32.5 billion worth of gas. Only an idiot or a politician could be convinced to would invest in that.

It costs more to frack gas out of the ground than it's worth.

First when was oil or gas found in Wilkes and second how does fracking thousands of feet deep below the water table affect wells that are only a couple hundred feet deep. They're fracking below the water table, but the gases and other frack-waste is squeezed up and out. They have to have extraction ponds for all the waste fracking water/mud/waste. It's pretty awful looking and bad smelling. I spent a month in Pennsylvania and was around a lot of fracking sites. It's pretty gross and I have seen in person water faucets that will light with a match/lighter.

That can happen naturally.

adm68, your idea is not democratic but communistic, or socialistic at best. We the people have a voice during each election cycle, you also have the opportunity to read every proposal brought before the legislature and congress and voice your opinion to the individual you elected to represent you in that government.

Sadly I have a feeling we cannot stop it at least not with the current administration that rules in NC.

you are right. we are blessed with good water. this will put a end to good water. the person that talked to the rep.s about fracking said that property value would fall on land with well water. they know that it will mess up the ground water, but when money is coming out of it, that is all they look at , the money!!!!!!

Guess some enterprising people can purify salt water and sell it to us at $20 a gallon or more, while we bathe in chemicals. Livestock and crops will have to depend on rainwater.

People of Wilkes county and North Carolina taxation and political rule has got out of control. It has come to a point that the people voice is not heard and is not act on. The people has come no more but a resource for taxation and our properties resources for what they will. If they think they can get money out of it they will do it. Our Government has come no more then a money pit. The government is all about the money with 100,000 dollar salary big parties, nice trips, fancy building, new cars, at our expense. The government said we need more money at the same time another food bank opens and said the people are going with out food, no jobs and have no place to live. But this dose not madder that people have no food, no jobs, or a place to stay? NO you will give us more money. Even when they have not keep up the roads, school always lack of money, but to hear them tell it all is in the name of school, better road, safety. They use these things to manipulate you and play you using the love we have for each other. Our government knows we have love and compassion to one and another and they use this to justify taxes and action. They strong-arm us with LOVE and FEAR. Wile they waste and miss use the money to empower the elite while the roads and bridges have not been kept up, school teachers is the lowest on pay scale. The representatives we have do not care about what you have to say, they vote with parties, or big lobbyist but they quick to tell you, this is the way it is and you will do it and pay it or we will garnish your wages, attachment of bank account, and foreclosure on every thing you own. In other words you will pay homage to county and state to work, keep your property, you will pay for the right to drive, you will pay to use your truck according to wait you haul, you will pay to use gas, you will pay to buy tabocco, you will get a license to sell wood to chip co., to buy products for hvac, est. The purpose for taxies was for schools, fire depts. Roads, law enforcement, health dep. Library est.. Solely for the good for the whole. That means for every one equally. We need to come together and demand that all of this come to a stop. The North Carolina Constitution is the Covent that binds us and it plainly states that we the people are in control and we will be heard and all representatives will act upon what we say. Representatives we have, side step around question you ask them, they love to tell you that the people they have talked will said this. Let me ask you when have they ever come before the people and asked us what we think about what is to be voted on? The only time we hear any thing from them is when they wont us to vote for them in office. With this I demand that any bill and all matters brought to the floor to vote on , must first by all representatives state, federal and county be brought to their district. here the representatives will read and expanded to the people just what the bill or matter is and how it will help or hurt. then the people of that district will vote on it and the representatives will vote the way the people had said. this will be done first or no representative will have the power to vote in house, senate and county on any bill or matter. For The North Carolina State Constitution sec.2. ALL POLITICAL POWER IS VESTED IN AND DERIVED FROM THE PEOPLE; ALL GOVERNMENT OF RIGHT ORIGINATES FROM THE PEOPLE, IS FOUNDED OPON THEIR WILL ONLY, AND IS INSTITUTED SOLELY FOR THE GOOD OF THE WHOLE. this will be done or we the people will take the power back to us, for we are not being heard and the will of the people are not being acted upon.
