Everything this has done has backfired and we have not seen it all yet. We see the immediate damage the open border is causing but the long term issues will take years to see

When Trump came to power one of the first things he did was to increase the sanctions on Iran, knowing that it would cause Iran to throw out the inspection team and revert to producing nuclear weapons. His sole intention was to create a pretext for a preemptive strike against Iran. He was unable to carry out his intentions when even with the aid of Putin he was unable to steal the 2020 election. Had he succeeded in hi-jacking the election he would have handed Ukraine over to Putin on a silver platter, and his victory over Iran would have been his legacy as a "great military leader."

This is one more item among many of the bitter harvest we are reaping from Trump's four years of self-obsessed misrule.

In December, Reuters reported that a confidential IAEA report released to member states said it had "increased its production of highly enriched uranium, reversing a previous output reduction from mid-2023." Reuters also said in its report "that Iran is enriching to up to 60%, close to the roughly 90% that is weapons grade, at its Pilot Fuel Enrichment Plant (PFEP) in its sprawling Natanz complex and at its Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP), which is dug into a mountain".

In his report, Albright, a former U.N. weapons inspector in Iraq, wrote, "Today, it would need only about a week to produce enough for its first nuclear weapon. It could have enough weapon-grade uranium for six weapons in one month, and after five months of producing weapon-grade uranium, it could have enough for 12."
