Sep 22, 2016 · Riots threaten to sway a deadlocked presidential race in race-riven North Carolina by pushing enough undecided voters toward Republican Donald Trump

food for thought

Well, looting and burning down private businesses sure doesn't help displace stereotypes that the racists are holding on to.

Mich
You got one thing right, I'll never understand rioting, looting, destruction of property and assaulting and killing other people in the name of "justice". It reminds me of those nut jobs that are so against abortion that they'll kill Dr's who perform abortions.

So once again. How should they protest? What should blacks do?

I can't help you can't grasp what I'm putting down here. Of course I don't expect you to understand.

Anti, full disclosure, I'm not going to dig up stats or sources for any of what's about to follow, because I'm feeling lazy. Much of it came from radio and podcast interviews, and I'm not going to try to dig up documentation now. You can check it if you want.

Couple points that your stats overlook. Whites and blacks commit crimes at almost equal rates. Meaning, if it's 10% of whites that commit crimes, it's 10% of blacks too. So you have to dig deeper to see why prison rates are so disproportionate. Several factors are thought to contribute. One being that white criminals are more likely to afford better attorneys. Another factor is judges are more likely to be more lenient on white criminals for the same crimes. But the one I heard today on Sonnie Johnson's radio show, that I wasn't aware of, blacks are more likely to be convicted of a violent crime because their charges trumped up more. Cops are notorious for piling on charges. They bust someone for possession, and they add everything they can, including resisting arrest, or assault, or whatever else they can come up with. The point is, the injustice in the system is multilayered.

But as for cops, the issue isn't just them killing people. For blacks, the racism they deal with from cops is mostly much more minor. Things like being pulled out of their cars and handcuffed for simple traffic violations. Made to lay on the ground while their information is run. Try talking to a black man sometime about his interactions with the cops.

Mich,
I see you try and justify lawlessness to the bitter end.

MichSt66

Posted 10:11 pm, 05/31/2020

Not justifying anything at all. Once again trying to get you to understand why we are here. When they peacefully assembled you ignored them. This is what happens. Man can only be kicked down for so long before the animal comes out.

Mich,
If you try and justify rioting, looting, destruction of property, assault on police, fire and EMS whatever the root cause you're part of the problem.

I'm not defending any lawbreakers Cowboy. Just trying to get you to understand why we have come to this.

WTF is going on

Black guns matter

168,

Cowboys fan And most of the blacks that are in prison for violent crimes are there for committing crimes against other black folks

Antithesis is right on. The only way to prove whether this incident was racist or not is to be able to read the officer's mind. And since we can never know what his thoughts were, then we'll never really know if it was racially motivated or not. Also did he actually intend to kill the man right there in front of everyone on camera? Of course not. The death was accidental due to a overly-aggressive cop who didn't know the difference between a breath choke and a blood choke.

The race narrative automatically gets deployed by the leftist media any time anything happens to a black person, whether it was racist or not.

For the media, rage = clicks
For the politicians, rage = votes

And yes i think most of the looters are just pieces of crap who don't give a f* about George Floyd and just wanna tear stuff up and steal expensive sneakers. Protesting and looting are NOT the same thing.

Have u seen the videos of shop owners getting beaten by the rioters just for protecting there shops n u wonder why there's more black people incarcerated every time a white person kills a black person there's riots everywhere what about the whites that get killed by blacks its not safe for a white person to walk down the street in Michigan at night

antithesis

Posted 9:28 pm, 05/31/2020

That made me cringe, but it's actually a solid point, too. 40% of incarcerated people are black, as compared to 39% white and 19% HIspanic. And Cowboy is right, black people account for 52.5% of all homicide offenders from 1980 to 2008:

Based on that, the surprise is that the percentage of black people killed by a cop isn't closer to 50%.

You can always count on Mich to defend the lawbreakers.

Maybe because they have been oppressed for so long
