Please don't let trump appoint another justice (unless he wins the election). This "pro-life" nonsense cannot stand in a rational, first world nation. And the hypocrisy of denying Garland during the end of the Obama administration should make all of you think about the fairness of such an appointment by trump at this time.
I'm no saint but as soon as I became sexually active (in my late teens), I had already saved up $200 of my own money to pay for an abortion just in case I got preggers. Thankfully - I never did during that time in my young life. I used birth control & never wanted to face having to abort a baby. The one child I had was born after I'd been married for 5 years, she was planned for, well cared for and definitely wanted.
Isn't that how it should be for all potential parents?

I am not in favor of abortion as form of reactive contraception but I can't understand why those who are against abortion under any circumstances can call themselves Christians if they are pro capital punishment. Fact: it costs less to incarcerate someone for life than to go through the processes that culminates in an execution. Fact: capital punishment is not a deterrent. Fact: many victims of capital punishment have been found to have been innocent of the crimes for which they were executed. Capital punishment is society's way of taking revenge on an individual perceived to have committed an offence against society. "Vengeance is mine saithe the Lord."

In the case of the death penalty. The state has adjudicated the person who had committed a very serious crime.

Well put Hill, and it brings up another question how can they claim that this nation was founded on Christianity? Christianity is a religion founded on the teachings of Christ, I guess that's covered under systemic Bible Belt hypocrisy.

Oh they're not pro life. They're anti choice. It they were pro life they would support comprehensive sex Ed, Medicare for all, expanded benefits for poor people and be fighting to combat climate change and end the dearth penalize. Heck these people aren't even upset about forced hysterectomies at ICE detention facilities.
