We never got any money back when we worked. Always paying more at tax time. This wasn't a small amount either. We didn't have high paying jobs but better than average. You are saying we don't matter anymore, right? If smart you can keep interest income low so you don't pay taxes. You have to add half your SS to total taxable income. That is just plain stupid, we helped build America. GROW A BRAIN.

The Republicans show their prejudice on this post. The Democrats talk like they care, they don't. Both sides are evil in their own way. Republicans can't see pass what they believe. You would not live and work anywhere else in the world without a visa or citizenship. United States need to crack down on employers hiring illegals. We do need to put America first for a change. I don't believe in paying someone 6 figures draw a check from home, do you?

No matter who you are or where you come from.... You pay taxes in the United States. Every time you but something new or used (think Good Will) you pay taxes. Even most, I would guess, of Seasonal farm workers or other alien workers, provide a Social Security number in order to work. Which as we all know withdraws those taxes before you ever see a dime of your check.
And just as an after thought to your comment above...... No matter when you pay income tax, you shouldnt pay 80% on your meager income when a millionaire only pays 25%

I also think DOGE refund checks should only be for people who pay taxes. So that means 1/2 of America does not deserve one because they don't pay anything except a little sales tax
