I like any kind of gravy. Not big on liver. I like deer meat if it's cooked right. One of my customers brought me some deer jerky last year and it was the best jerky I have ever ate. Bear meat is absolutely disgusting though and I would never eat it again. I made spaghetti full of veggies tonight.

Usually, just old country cooking and how I ate growing up. I vary from the oldtimes. Tonight, I fixed tacos and a salad (never had tacos growing up in the country.) There are three things I never eat because I do not like them: cream gravy, liver and wild meat--except for turkey and fish.

Your posts have inspired some of my meals too! Tonight I had a huge salad full of all kinds of different stuff. I'm going to have to lighten up on the eating some if I want to wear my skinny jeans and not split them open when I bend over.

countrygal, your post made me want pinto beans! So tonight, I fixed a big pot of beans. This, with the cornbread and milk, was a filling meal and one I enjoyed very much on this cold night.
