Look at it from whose reality, Fins? Yours?

I'm not a bleeding heart; nor am I a cold-hearted sob. I do like to look at things from ALL points of view.

I didn't say they drew a crowd while I watched. The crowd was already in place and well into their event already.
What is it with you bleeding hearts and your fascination of empty gestures?

Well Fins, here we sit...talking about it. Maybe it wasn't a total waste of their time. You said they drew a small crowd, during the short period of time you witnessed. Who knows, maybe they inspired someone in that crowd to do more?

You know when you mention Fins and I think about it long hard the High school was just like that, I don't know if it was charity given to them or the rich kids paying for it to the job they done to achieve it but if they really wanted to make a difference they would do like all the other protesters and pay for a trip up their, set up camp, smoke some spot, throw signs and start screaming this **** while urinating on people yards and flower beds to bathing in the lake if they had to.

So they chose an empty gesture in a safe town. Yeah, that will help...
I've never seen a college kid not find a way to go somewhere if they really wanted to go. No matter how much money they have or don't have. Their little party was just as useless as #bringbackourgirls

Maybe they had class the next AM and couldn't go to Ferguson. Or, being college kids, no gas money to get there, so they worked with what they had.
So, what have any of us done to make the situation better? Anything? Nothing?

I agree with fins, we may not always get along but they are doing this all in the wrong way that I figure it's for attention.

They don't care. If they really cared, they would go to ferguson and march beside the Black Panthers. Or go to South Central LA and tutor at risk kids. Not stand in a parking lot in Boone telling a town of very tolerant white people to not be mean to black people

Holding a candle light vigil in a safe, almost all white, highly tolerant town isn't caring. It's trying to convince yourself that you've done something to make a difference without actually doing anything. If they really wanted to change things, they would load up and go to Ferguson and march with the Black Panthers. Or go to south central LA to tutor kids and otwalk the streets to keep an eye on what the police do.
But no, they don't want to put a real effort in. They want to hold up signs to tell white people in a town, that has no racial issues, to be nice to black people.

Not saying that blacks don't matter but he was a criminal and on the run, had chance to stop but didn't now they are backing up a criminal that the officer I see had no choice. I mean if it was a black officer everyone would have never gave a **** but when it's a white now beating on a black for defensive purpose or trying to do his job like the officer did to arrest him every person the hood drops out of the freakn sky and goes wild because he a freakn hero or poor man caught in the blind act. This is getting real old, why couldn't the young male just have done as told by dropping on the ground with hands up?I will say this, things happen and the male was in fact knowing he was committing a crime and taking chances but playing a gamble of getting shot and he did. So who's at fault cause seriously I think the officer deserves more credit then to be bashed at. I know several stories about cases like this and if were going to pull the racism card let's start having 2 officer in the same car that can be black and white so that when one of them takes the shot they can't pull that bull**** as if gunning down his own color because he was white, cause he was black, all cause he got a stripes. Wilkes always seems to have a second officer to back him up so why can't every state use the same car to cut down on gas and other stuff so this can't happen anymore.

The way I see it in America today if a black THUG breaks into your house you will be better off letting him take anything he wants make him a tuna samidge, a glass of koolaid and help him load your stuff in his low rider Cadillac. Only shoot the Hispanic, Asian and White thieves this way you wont go to prison.
This concludes our lesson for today.
