Tonight I went to Boone for dinner, and saw something that made me laugh. There was a crowd gathered in a parking lot of a bank. A guy and a girl were standing on the sidewalk holding signs that said "Black Lives Matter". Now, it was already dark, but as I went by I could make out that just about all of the crowd was white. They all looked college age. A bunch of white college kids were holding a candle light vigil, obviously for the ferguson stuff, in a town that is at least 90 percent white.

It made me laugh as I thought about the arrogance that we white people have, especially our young people, thinking a rally in Boone is going to make a difference for Missouri.
