You're having a liberal meltdown.

Is it cheaper to buy fruit or little debbies? I'd say its cheaper to buy little debbies. I know bananas are affordable. Its hard to get fat on the right foods. You can eat vegetables all day for little calories. Maybe I use my emotions on this subject to much. I take my situation to draw conculusions. I've always worked so hard to keep my weight down and think everyone should be like me. Some have health issues or depression.

I've been thinking about this today.

An issue that I think people overlook is that a lot of obese people aren't sitting around eating cake and junk food all day. Many of them are the people that work 40 hours a week for low wages, so most of their meals end up being the lowest quality fast food.

These are the people that gain a lot of weight and honestly have no idea how to reverse it. And they're the ones that can't possibly afford to pay for anything to help... if they can't afford higher quality food, they certainly can't afford medical treatment!

But these are the same people that end up diabetic, on disability, and on Medicaid or Medicare. Which means that we're paying for it anyway, so why not try to help prevent it in the first place?

I got an idea. Let's make it so we don't need Health Care. Sound good?

I don't need hearing aids. I just do Medicare with part B. I don't do the supplement. My mothers last pair of hearing aids cost her 6k. This is something small enought to put in the palm of my hand. Medicare didn't cover hers. Private insurance for older adults would not be affordable. But this isn't the point. Fat people are everywhere, they can't fit into cars, they can't walk into walmart. Most on here is fat no doubt. Taking meds to control weight is insane. Get off your arse and do something.

In 2025, the standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B will be $185, which is a $10.30 increase from 2024

Why not help seniors with hearing problems, hearing aids 6k or higher.

I completely agree. Medicare Part C covers them, though, so it's up to you to decide whether it's worth the cost...

NOOOOOO, THE OZ and FAT ARSE TRUMp. Medicare will go up to pay for fat people to lose weight.

I sort of agree, but I also see the benefit versus the expense.

Medicare covers treatment for diabetes, including discounted insulin. Covering the drug to help them lose weight before they become diabetic could result in less spent on diabetes treatment, so it would be a long term economic gain.

Trump's economic plan has both Social Security and Medicare heading towards insolvency. No one wants to cut senior benefits, though, so they're looking at other ways to save money... which includes preventative care.

Gason, you said you do not have drug coverage or a Medicare supplement Why don't you look at the prices of those and add to your basic Medicare part B cost, and tell me what it adds up to? Before Obamace I purchased Blue Cross for my husband for 200 a month. He pays more than that now for what he has with Medicare. I have no reason to lie about it. Of course no one who has to purchase insurance on their own without help can find anything close to being affordable now.

I used to enjoy your post Gason but now you come across as just a mean little old lady with a foul mouth who attacks anyone who says something she doesn't like.

Udfred is right about the Obamacare family glitch also. Husband couldn't afford private insurance after that so we just took the 200 and put in a savings account instead. Luckily he made it to Medicare age without major health problems. I'm lucky, my employer provides my insurance coverage.

Fat people grew up following the foid pyramid promulgated by US government agencies.
They ate in school cafeterias paid for and regulated by other US government agencies.
They watched Sesame Street too.

Right before Obamacare my family insurance was $120 every two weeks after Obamacare it reached $1200 a month. Family Glitch law the democrats put in. Obamacare and Medicaid are cheap if you make very little money. Finally I'm retired and grateful for Medicare .

The cost of Medicare and supplements increase every year. They now cost way more than private insurance did pre Obamacare.
